Sharing means multiplying. Since 2009 Fundação Gol de Letra´s methodology is disseminated and repeated in projects with partners all over Brazil, as well as in a technical cooperation mission in Africa.
The main objective is contributing to the integral education of children and young people via the implementation of projects in other social organizations, by means of capacitation of professionals and social players in the methodology of Gol de Letra concerning Educational Sports and Participation. Shared practices and experiences which can contribute to social transformation.
In 2016 three organizations were benefited with the implementation and supervision of new projects - Brasília (DF), Embu das Artes (SP) and Guine-Bissau (Africa). Up to 120 teachers and other professionals of the sector were educated in themes such as Integral Education, Educational Sports and Participation.
Reinforcing the multiplying power of the Dissemination Area, the three oriented organizations assisted around 600 students and counted on approximately 2,000 participants in open sports and leisure activities with the families and the communities.
The course entitled “Practices and Challenges of Educational Sports” was done in Embu das Artes (SP) and certified 12 professionals (partners of Gol de Letra) and around 70 sports technicians of the local Municipality´s Sports Secretariat.
The mission entitled “Young Leaders Multiplying Best Social and Educational Practices” repeated the technical cooperation between the Governments of Brazil and Guine-Bissau.
The African partner was the National Education Ministry, the Brazilian partner was the São Paulo `s Community Association. Brazil was represented by Agência Brasileira de Cooperação (Brazilian Cooperation Agency - ABC), Fundação Gol de Letra, Unesco Brazil, Instituto Elos and Secretaria de Educação de Vitória (Vitoria Education Secretariat, ES).
One of the highlights of the year was the issuing of the book “Esporte em Comunidades: Disseminação Gol de Letra” (Sports in Communities: Gol de Letra Dissemination), an important strategy to a broader dissemination of knowledge. The book shows that sports is an unreplaceable tool of the educational process, in the preparation of a healthy human being, from childhood to adult life. The didactic material that organizes our practices was distributed freely in six events and institutional meetings. The on-line version was also made available on the Fundation´s site.
The strategical plan used by Gol de Letra to release and divulge the publication counted on the partnership between Unicef Prize and SESC SP, via the Sports and Integral Education Meeting, which gathered around 100 persons, being them sports and education professions, as well as other interested parties.
In 2016, the issue “gender equity”, studied by the Community SP Program, was also largely debated in the education and supervision activities done by the Dissemination Area. The big challenge was fomenting the dialogue about the theme, in order the differences do not become inequality. In parallel, Sports was acknowledged as a valuable tool in the development and empowering of girls and women.
Another novelty of the year was the consolidation of a partnership with the establishing of a Gol de Letra unit in Rio Verde (Goiás) in 2017. The Project entitled “Esporte é Alimento” (Sports means Nourishing), in partnership with Instituto BRF. The initiative was providing the new knowledge: the practice of physical activities and food as the source of energy required for a healthy and active individual.

“I started working as a teacher of Physical Education and Dance ten years ago. After working with formal education all these years I now have my first opportunity to be in a social project. Ginga Social is an enriching experience, where the educational process is seen with a broader view, i.e., sports is understood as an inclusion and participation tool. The project´s proposal increases my responsibility to contribute to the students´ improvement. We became a “family”, very close to our students, with whom we exchanged experiences during the activities, thus getting to know their social context. The team was commonly dedicated to work efficiently and this is also very motivating”.

“My name is Jamily, I am 9 years old, and I do sports in Embu. I love what I do. I have already played volley ball, flagball and adapted American football, and now I am playing basketball. What I like most is basketball, which I did not even know that it existed in Brazil. I want to learn everything about it before starting to learn other modalities”.
