Seventeen years dedicated to actions focused on the integral education of children, teenagers, young people and families of low bracket communities.  Fundação Gol de Letra has matured and consolidated its methodology, practices and results over this period. We are pleased to say that we collectively learned, taught, and built the knowledge base, with the participation of everyone that is, in any form, related to us. The object of a social organization that looks for public policies´ improvement is making its dream come true, doing a work that goes beyond frontiers and reaches more and more people.

Fundação Gol de Letra had a lot of action in São Paulo during 2015. Besides moving to our new head-office in Vila Albertina, we had the challenge of sharing space with a Governmental High School and contributing to the construction of a Training School, with full participation from the part of the community. Gol de Letra has been very active in the District for years, and now it is sharing its experience in order to improve the public policies regarding Education.

We believe that Education has in a triggering and transforming power in Sports; that is why we invest so much in educational activities, both in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

We were able to inaugurate a Gymnasium in Caju, a low bracket community where Fundação Gol de Letra has its head-office in Rio de Janeiro. With lots of effort and the help of important partners we inaugurated the Ginásio Sócrates Brasileiro, daily frequented by local children, teenagers and young people.

We started the works of our new facilities in 2015, to bring education to the young people that are being prepared to face the beginning of their professional lives.

Following Rio16´s line, and fostered by the companies that sponsor the Games, the Project entitled “Youth and Opportunity” was conceived based on the field research in Caju District. This research focused on the expectations, profiles, interests and characteristics related to the professional education of that district´s youth, as well as on the requirements in terms of work force at the local companies.

“Go beyond”, overcome our limits, that is part of the daily challenge. Mobilization, resource gathering, events, and mainly, the loyalty to our partners – companies, institutions and donners –  leverage the work we do with people that come to us and are influenced by our actions.
