Communities Program
Vila Albertina, SPIts actions are focused on community development, via Educational Projects for Social Agents (women of the district) and Sexual Education Projects (workshops concerning Gender and Sexuality, for FGL’s students, and also for teachers and students of regional governmental schools).
In 2018, the program stood out for its systematization of the Sport and Gender video project, in order to share the experience of working in the area with other organizations. In addition, the Communities program strengthened, empowered and gave autonomy to 10 women (social agents) and provided discussion spaces on sexual rights, sexual health and reproductive life for adolescents.

Testimonials
In the past I was just a mother, a traditional housewife. I have four children. My dream is to become a psychologist, and I think that everything that I learn and live in FGL contributes to my education and will be helpful to help me get into college. I am not the same person anymore, I have a lot to share with other women.
After starting my education to become a social agent I’ve changed a lot, mainly as a woman. Many times we replicate things without paying attention to what we are doing. I am still in the empowerment and de-construction process. I express myself freely during the workshops, listening to and being listened to by others. My dream is to become a lawyer, telling people about their rights in a simple and understandable way. FGL is very important to Vila Albertina, our children and the young people are provided guidance and take part in activities that are not offered in other places.
After starting my education to become a social agent I started looking at my community from a different perspective. I received education and information in an enriching way. That was a fabulous challenge for me, I experienced a de-construction period. I started applying everything I learned both at home and in the community. When I joined FGL I was demotivated, I had no dream, and did not feel capable of doing anything. The new experiences and the education changed me, and I learned a lot… I started seeing myself as a great woman, capable of fighting for my dreams and goals. The two years of education will help me for the rest of my life. I was a butterfly inside its cocoon, now I am a social agent and I became a free butterfly
